We are delighted to welcome Xi Chen, a visiting PhD student spending a year with CPED to deepen her research on the Education Doctorate.

Her Path

Xi's academic path spans languages, history, and education. She earned her bachelor's degree in Portuguese from Nankai University in Tianjin, then completed a master's in the history of education at Beijing Normal University, where her research focused on the history of higher education in the United States. Her doctoral research now centers on the history of the EdD, which is what brings her to CPED.
