Participants will have a space to express themselves, take their emotional temperature and learn techniques to avoid becoming buried in an avalanche of stress. Participants will learn important skills to maintain their emotional balance while helping their advisees through the dissertation process. Each participant will craft their own plan to balance personal and professional life. RSVP NowPresenter: Jennifer Scully Jennifer L. Scully, Ed.D. is the Head of School at Maplebrook School. She holds a B.A. from SUNY Albany, an M.A. from Fordham University and an Ed.D. from Marymount University. Dr. Scully has served as the President of the International Association of Special Education as well as the 9th Biennial Conference Chair. She has an expertise in the acquisition of social skills in adolescents, building resilient school communities and advocating for character education. Dr. Scully has spoken at national and international conferences, published articles and conducted workshops in social skills, resilience and character development. She has published a handbook on the subject for teachers, parents and administrators entitled The Power of Social Skills in Character Development: Helping Diverse Learners Succeed. RSVP Now |
