Presenters:

Corrie Wilder

Corrie is a well-known face at WSU, having begun her tenure at the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, first as an adjunct instructor then as a Scholarly Assistant Professor and Marketing Director for the college. In addition to her leadership role at WSU Everett, Corrie will teach for Murrow College, including a senior capstone focusing on community engagement and experiential learning. An award-winning Creative Director, Corrie has over 25 years of experience in all forms of print and digital marketing and creative for brands in consumer goods, legal, sports and entertainment. A former Art Director at Sports Illustrated, Golf Magazine, and Food Network, she studied graphic design at the renowned Parsons School of Design in New York. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Education Leadership at WSU Everett.

Mike Kozak

Dr. Kozak has over 30 years in the field of education as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, curriculum supervisor and superintendent of schools. Highlights from his years in education include developing and implementing a major school restructuring, change management resulting in the consolidation of four separate school districts into one regional school district, appearing before state senate and assembly educational committees to successfully lobby for increased school state aid, improving student academic performance, fostering positive learning climates and cultures, integrating technology throughout the curriculum, and improving student learning in a lower socio-economic urban setting through major academic initiatives, including data-driven instruction, guided reading, instructional coaches in reading and math and enhanced professional development for teachers.

Dr. Kozak utilizes a framework of systems thinking, innovative and creative approaches to instruction and leadership, learning organizations and leading change. His challenge to emerging leaders is to help design a learning environment to meet the needs of learners and organizations disrupted by changes in education, organizations, governance, work environment and yet-to-be-determined careers.

Reshid Walker 
Dr. Reshid Xavier Walker is an Assistant Professor at Delaware State University in the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences. Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Walker served as a school administrator in Delaware’s Brandywine and Cape Henlopen School Districts. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is a peer reviewer for IGI Global, contributing to the advancement of academic scholarship.
Dr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from King’s College, a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from Pace University, and a Doctor of Education degree with a concentration in Innovation and Educational Leadership from Wilmington University. He actively supports doctoral research as a dissertation chair and committee member at both Wilmington University and Delaware State University.
Prior to his career in education, Dr. Walker worked in the information technology sector for prominent New York-based fiduciary companies. His roles included consulting for Goldman Sachs and Instinet, and serving as an IT professional at JP Morgan Chase (formerly Chase Bank).
Dr. Walker's research interests focus on TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) and the application of Artificial Intelligence in K-12 education, exploring innovative ways to enhance teaching and learning through technology.
