CPED PartnersTo benefit or promote our work, CPED partners or collaborates with a number of educational organizations. Below is a current list. Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of TeachingServing as our founding organization, CPED has always collaborated with the Carnegie Foundation to improve the design and understanding of the EdD. Currently we are collaborating on the Improvement Leadership Education and Development (iLead) project which includes 9 CPED members listed below. This initiative seeks to create partnerships between higher education institutions and local education agencies committed to the integration of improvement science principles into leadership development and educational practice. George Washington Graduate School of Education Fairfax County Public Schools American Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE)CPED and AACTE collaborate on projects that seek to inform Dean's understanding about the nature and purpose of the EdD. At the annual AACTE convention, CPED hosts its Board of Directors meeting as well as a CPED Dean's meeting. Information is posted in our calendar of events. University Council on Education Administration (UCEA)CPED shares a common goal with UCEA--to ensure quality preparation for educational leaders. Since the inception of CPED in 2007, UCEA has been a reflective partner and support of our work. Our members are encouraged to share their learning and research about EdD programs at the UCEA annual convention and with UCEA sponsored journals.
