Selecting Texas A&M’s Online EdD 

The competition for Program of the Year was extremely rigorous this year, with seven outstanding programs making it to the final round. After a thorough review process, which included multiple readings and deep discussions by our committee, Texas A&M’s program stood out for its exceptional approach to doctoral education. The committee was particularly impressed by the program’s detailed origins, the rationale for its development, and the strong alignment with CPED’s Guiding Principles. The program’s focus on impacting practice, program, and communities, demonstrated through comprehensive data and compelling narratives, truly exemplifies the transformative power of the EdD. 

Learning More about the Winner 

We look forward to hearing more from Texas A&M at our upcoming convening in October, where they will be awarded the Program of the Year Award at our final luncheon. The program faculty will also host an exchange at the convening and a webinar in the spring to share more with our network.

For those interested in learning more about the CPED Program of the Year application and process, look for the PoY Award Committee and Winner exchange at the October convening in Hawai'i. Past winner faculty will share their experiences and offer insights into what makes a successful application, offering an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge and strategies that could help your program shine in future competitions. Space is limited, be sure to register before Thursday, October 14th.
